Not every project needs Full Service. Some need an experienced eye on the decision that is holding everything up. Design, Edited is for a defined question, review or set of decisions. We begin with what is already in place, identify what still needs to be resolved and focus my involvement where it will make the greatest difference. It is not a substitute for complete kitchen, bathroom or whole-home design.

Some clients need guidance as questions continue to arise. Others need a second look, a focused day of decisions or a color plan they can confidently hand to a painter. Each service begins with a defined need and ends with clear direction.

For questions that continue to arise

Designer on Call

Some projects need more than a single consultation, but not Full Service. Designer on Call gives you ongoing access to my judgment as selections, site conditions and new questions come up. We focus on the decisions in front of you, review the information already in place and determine what needs to happen next.

Best for

Active projects with recurring design questions and clients who will manage purchasing, contractor communication and implementation.

What you leave with

Clear direction for each defined question so the project can keep moving without every new decision becoming another source of uncertainty.

Commitment

Designer on Call begins with a 20-hour minimum.

Plans already exist

Plan Review

An architect, builder or cabinet company has already drawn something up, and you want a second look before anyone builds or orders from it. I review the plan through the way you will actually live in the space, looking for layout conflicts, missed opportunities and decisions that deserve another look before the project moves forward.

On one review, revisions to a floor plan had shifted the entry just enough that the first sightline walking in was a toilet, never intended, and missed in all the changes.

What you leave with

A written list of corrections and recommendations, with relevant links where needed, that you can take back to your architect, builder or cabinet company.

A focused day for decisive clients

Designer for a Day

Before we meet, we agree on one focused list of decisions, often kitchen or bathroom selections such as tile, cabinetry, fixtures or finishes. That gives the day a clear purpose before we begin. We spend six to eight hours reviewing the options together and making decisions. This works best when you are ready to choose and want an experienced opinion in the room while you do.

Best for

Clients who have a defined list of decisions and are prepared to make choices during one focused working day.

What you leave with

The agreed-upon decisions resolved and clear direction for moving forward.

One decision, done right

Paint Consultation

You do not need a redesign. You need the color to work with what is already there. I look at your existing materials, natural light, cabinetry, trim and the way color moves from one room to another. The decision is made within the context of your home, not from a paint chip viewed in isolation.

What you leave with

A clear paint direction and a detailed paint schedule you can give directly to your painter.

When it grows past a defined decision

The Design Plan

Some projects need more than focused guidance, but not Full Service management. I create the complete design direction, selections and documentation for the space. You or your contractor manage purchasing, ordering, contractor communication, construction and installation. Design Oversight is not included. You move forward with a cohesive design instead of making the room one decision at a time.
