I'm the founder and principal designer of 940 Interiors, based in Waxahachie and working throughout the Dallas area, with virtual design available nationwide.

Some clients come to me with hundreds of images and no idea what connects them. Others know almost nothing beyond the fact that the house doesn't feel right.

My work is finding the thread: how you live, what you're drawn to, what needs to function better and what will make the finished home feel unmistakably yours. You don't have to arrive with all the answers. We figure those out together.

Why the Details Matter

A home can be beautiful and still make absolutely no sense. We're not doing that.

A renovation is one large, interconnected puzzle. Cabinetry affects lighting. Furniture affects circulation. A decision made today can become an expensive problem several steps later.

My design education taught me how spaces work. The auction industry taught me to recognize quality and value. Eight years in operations taught me how to organize moving parts, communicate clearly and notice what other people miss.

Building our own home with a newborn brought me back to design and showed me exactly how personal—and overwhelming—the process can become when you are also trying to live your life.

That operations brain is still very much here. For you, that means less second-guessing, fewer loose ends and someone watching the larger plan while you continue living your life.

Working Together

Calmly Type A. Yes, that is a thing.

I'm hard to rattle, which is useful because renovations change. I'll be direct when something needs attention, and the contractors I work with know I care about how the details come together.

A serious project does not require a stiff experience. I want you to understand what we're doing, feel comfortable asking questions and know that someone capable is paying attention.

There will be drawings, measurements and organized decisions. There may also be laughing, snacks and a client crawling into a cabinet.

A Little More About Me

Real life is part of the design.

I'm a mother of three, so I understand that beautiful rooms also have to survive backpacks, pets, friends, homework, busy mornings and everything else that happens when people actually live in them.

Away from client projects, I serve on the PTA board at my children's school, where I somehow keep finding myself involved in communications, campaigns, events and plans for what comes next.

Apparently, "I can help with that" is both a personality trait and a scheduling problem.

Outside of all that, give me good sushi, strong coffee, a reason to dance or a dirty martini and I'm happy.
