Old Gin · Ennis, TX · New Build

A forever home, rooted in family.

This project began with intention. Designed for a growing family, this new build sits on family land that has been passed down for generations, a setting that shaped every decision from the very beginning. The goal was a home that felt relaxed, warm, and functional, while supporting everyday family life and future growth.

Starting from a blank slate, we partnered closely with the architect to ensure the layout worked for how this family actually lives, not just how a floor plan looks on paper.

The family loves to entertain, so gathering spaces were designed to flow easily to a large outdoor patio built for hosting. At the same time, we intentionally placed the children's bedrooms on the opposite side of the home to protect sleep and create separation between entertaining and rest.

With a beautiful pond behind the house, we designed the primary bedroom with large windows so the view could be enjoyed daily, a quiet moment of pause built right into the architecture.

Budget was a priority, and every choice was made with intention. Rather than overbuilding, the focus was on getting the most home for the budget, selecting finishes that felt timeless and appropriate without excess.

Being on site allowed us to catch questions early and address them before they became more expensive to correct. We assisted primarily with finishes and select furnishings.

Today, the home functions effortlessly. The layout supports family routines, entertaining feels natural, and the spaces simply work. Mornings are often spent on the outdoor sofas, coffee in hand, taking in the view of the land that's been part of their family for generations.

It's a home that feels grounded, welcoming, and deeply personal, the kind of place that just feels right.
